Santons de France is an English speaking American retailer of the French santons
of Marcel Carbonel, France’s premier santonnier. They are of the finest quality in
all of Provence. A complete line of figures, stables, and accessories in 3 sizes are in stock year-round.

We are the oldest continuing distributor of Carbonel santons in the United States.
At the conclusion of WWII, Helene Carter, a new bride of an American soldier,
came to America with her new husband and the desire to introduce the santon
tradition to Americans. Through the years the business she started has remained in
Maine. For the past 22 years it has been based in the small town of Woolwich, on the Kennebec River.

Personal attention is given to each customer. We offer suggestions and advice to
help our customers grow their own collections or those of friends and family they
